Sucat to Tagaytay
Tagaytay to Sucat trip.

Filled to the brim at Shell Sucat Road with Shell Unleaded (41 pesos only per liter btw).

126.2 kms

after going back to Sucat, same gas station, same gas pump...filled to the brim again.

Total consumption 4.99 liters

- 2 passengers plus heavy subwoofer at the back
- cruising speed at 65-70 kph
- top speed at 100 kph for about 30 secs only
- 4 stop overs in total ( off-on ang makina )
- downhill I don't step on the gas anymore, alalay lang sa brakes
- no aircon at all
- odo at 4500++
- was really aiming to beat my Manila - Tagaytay record of 19 km/l

Sound Upgrades

Had a sub installed.
12" Infinity Reference Sub w/ ported box.

Gives me nice bass, no more rattling sound from my doors.

Thanks to my Head Unit's HPF and Rear Sub Out function.

Share ko lang...

Pagkagaling ng Alabang kanina mga 11 PM, I finally had the chance to drive far (Tagaytay lang) at maihataw naman si Wally.

I noticed na almost 7 liters pala ang difference ng full tank na automatic stop as compared sa filled to the brim. So I tried filling my car to the brim and had my tires inflated to 31 front and 33 back. Reset my Trip Meter then off I go.

2 lang kami ng GF punta tagaytay... walang traffic, halos 5th gear ako most of the time kahit dun sa mga paakyat, except pag yung mga palikong delikado, downshift ako 1 gear. Yung byahe sa SLEX pinaabot ko lang hanggang 90 para di naman nakapako sa 70 coz I'm really trying to aim for a good FC since it's purely highway driving.

Some info:
- 2007 Hyundai Getz 1.1 M/T
- Top speed 90kp/h , 70-75 km/h most of the time paakyat
- Pababa, minsan I don't even step on the gas but If I do, I still maintain 70-75 km/h
- Change gear at 1900-2000 rpm
- no stop overs along the way
- Route is Alabang to Tagaytay (hanggang Casino) then pauwi is Tagaytay to Pasay. SLEX until Bicutan only since sa Villamor ihahatid ko, had to take the service road.
- purely highway driving except nung papagas na ako pauwi e 1 km from the gas station (Shell Sun Valley) may eng-eng na lasing na taxi driver na binangga yung pagitan ng SLEX and service road wasak na wasak so walang madaanan and I had to idle for 5-10 mins at 5 am!!!
- ODO at 2100 KM

Nagpagas ako ulit ng pauwi na, filled to the brim to be as accurate as I could be.

DLS K6 Classic Separates (front), tweeters near side mirror joystick
6.5 " Pioneer Coaxial Speakers (rear)

Installed and tuned at Kid Audio in Laguna.

Amp and Subs to follow, if budget still permits.

factors:
-bumper to bumper traffic in west service road,
- bicutan/sucat to alabang SLEX heavy traffic, bumper to bumper nearing the south station toll gate
-no traffic at all going home (midnight)
- 1 to 2 passengers usually

Just last Sunday, Wally got smoked by HANZANDER.

The Chrome area surrounding the headlights were painted black and that gave Wally boy a meaner look and I think he likes it!

Route this week was quite heavy...
374.8 kms in 1 week...poor Wally.
lots of heavy traffic, including a 1 km stretch that took at least an hour.
FC is quite good though since the car is still in it's break in phase.
Odo currently at almost 900kms.

Took me 4 hours to install 2 rear speakers in the trunk.

Installed today at Hyundai Sucat - Audiovox Keyless Entry with Alarm
and Stebel Magnum 2 Electric Horns to replace the Potpot single horn of Wally :)

Fuel Consumption update

Another week of fun fun fun Getz usage. Very comfy driving, yet fuel efficient.

Gassed up at Shell Sun Valley. Had 42 PSI last week on all fours (weird huh, that came straight from the dealer and I didn't notice). Now I tried 30 for the whole week and my FC has improved dramatically. No major changes in route as I went to the office for 5 days, driving through all the normal traffic, except that last Nov 2's drive was quite a breeze since it was a holiday.

whoa! it just keeps getting better. :)

Hopefully it will reach about 18-20 km/l combined city and highway driving once I hit 5000kms, which they say is the time wherein you'll know the fuel consumption of your vehicle for the rest of it's decent engine life.

Still thinking about trying 32 PSI on all fours for this week.

typical route - from West Service Road to Bicutan (1 km of bumper to bumper traffic)
From Bicutan to Alabang SLEX (heavy traffic sometimes from Sucat to Alabang and bumper to bumper sa toll gate ng alabang)

Going home - Super luwag from Alabang to Bicutan SLEX.
Also, travelled super luwag from Alabang to Alabang-Zapote Road to Coastal Road, until MIA Road then back to Bicutan - all highway.

I always change gear at 2000 - 2200 rpm.
5th gear speed varies from 65-85 kph.

I'd say 50% city and 50% highway.

Previous car was a 1.6 Mazda 323 Familia. ran 7-8kph with the same route as above.

Hopefully my mileage will still go up since my odometer is only at 300km.

This week I'll try 30 psi same route.

Got my new baby last Oct 20 at the dealer in Hyundai Sucat.

I was accompanied by my girlfriend and my mother since this is my first brand new car to be bought.

Car was in excellent condition except that the mechanic forgot to put back one of the sockets connected to the battery when he was doing his stencil for the car engine number! hassle!

But overall I was happy, a welcome addition to the family. :D
